What about loaner labeling machines?

Do you need a label printer loaner?

"Loaner" Machines

When you go to the mechanic to get your car repaired, they'll often offer a "loaner", or curtosy vehicle, for you to use while your car is in the shop. Some label printer suppliers also have "loaner" programs, so that you can still complete your labeling tasks while your machine is in for repairs. Even with loaner programs available, with the ease of repair and replacement in today's labelers, most repairs are done so quickly and returned, that no loaner is necessary.

Loaner machines, or rapid repairs?

What is better, getting the repair done quickly and accurately, or getting a loaner? Let's face it, a loaner machine takes extra shipping time, and is really only an excuse for a company to not process your repair request quickly. If you have a labeler, any labeler, then you're out of their hair. Wouldn't you rather have a company who is prepared to address your labeler repair needs the same day they receive the labeler for repair? Loaner programs sound good, but it is better to have a company that is staffed and ready to give great customer service when you need it.

If your repair is going to take longer, it is usually because parts need to be ordered and the company doesn't have them on-hand. When a company starts talking about loaners, it is usually because they don't stock parts, or don't have a repair staff on-hand. Companies that do have all of this may offer you a loaner if you ask for one, simply as a curtosy because you requested it, but your repair may still be quick and easy.

"Ask labeler companies about rapid repairs, not just loaners."
